Jakarta, June 9, 2022 – The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI), also known as Indonesia Eximbank, is a Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, consistently striving to support Indonesia's export growth. According to export data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for January-February 2022, one of the provinces with export potential is West Java, with export development valued at USD 6.07 billion.

In mid-2021, LPEI successfully launched the Devisa Coffee Village Program in Subang, West Java, in collaboration with local cooperatives and the regional government. This Devisa Village Program, located in the Subang Regency, focuses on the coffee commodity by providing guidance and capacity development for Subang's coffee farmers.

In addition to the synergy in the Devisa Village Program, LPEI's commitment to developing export-oriented SMEs in West Java continues to grow. This time, LPEI collaborates with the Department of Industry and Trade of the West Java Provincial Government (Disperindag Jabar) to provide capacity building for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with an export orientation, supporting the government's program to empower SMEs in the West Java region.

R. Gerald S. Grisanto, Head of the Consultation Services Division at LPEI, stated during the opening, "The collaboration between LPEI and Disperindag Jabar includes Export Training or Coaching Program for New Exporters (CPNE), Business Matching, Devisa Village Program, LPEI Product Socialization, and Discussion of Foreign Trade Issues."

The three-day export training or CPNE, which began on June 8 and ended on June 10, 2022, took place in Bandung. The training was attended by 100 export-oriented SMEs from the West Java region, offering various products such as handicrafts, fashion, processed foods, coffee, and other goods. Experienced export practitioners delivered diverse training materials to enhance participants' understanding of the intricacies of export business.

"Export training or CPNE is conducted with materials needed by prospective exporters to build knowledge and understanding of export business introduction, export product design, export management and pricing, internet marketing strategies, payments, and international exhibitions," explained Gerald.

Through this collaboration, LPEI is committed to continually enhancing the capacity of SMEs and fostering the creation of new exporters to boost exports in the West Java Province. Additionally, it is hoped that this initiative will have a multiplier effect, leading to economic development and improved well-being for the community by developing the capacity of export-oriented SMEs.
