Jakarta, 26th November 2025 – The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), through the Directorate General of Small, Medium, and Miscellaneous Industries (IKMA), together with Indonesia Eximbank, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen synergy in supporting export-oriented Small and Medium Industries (IKM).
The signing was carried out by the Director General of IKMA of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, Mrs. Reni Yanita, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Acting Executive Director of Indonesia Eximbank, Mr. Sukatmo Padmosukarso, in Jakarta on November 24, 2025. The signing was witnessed by the Secretary of the Directorate General of IKMA, Yeddy Sabaryadi, Executive Director of Business II of Indonesia Eximbank, Mr. Sulaeman, and the Head of BPSDMI, who is also a member of the Board of Directors of Indonesia Eximbank, Mr. Doddy Rahadi.
This Memorandum of Understanding is valid for three years and represents a concrete step toward strengthening the national export ecosystem, particularly for SMEs, which are the backbone of Indonesia's economy.
This cooperation covers several strategic areas, including the provision and exchange of data and information related to SMEs with export potential, the dissemination of information on financing, guarantee, and/or insurance facilities that can be utilized by SMEs, and the provision of consulting services to help SMEs improve their competitiveness in the global market.
Director General of IKMA at the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, Reni Yanita, said, “Through this cooperation, we hope that export-oriented SMEs can gain better access to information, assistance, and facilities. The synergy with Indonesia Eximbank will strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs in the global market and support the target of increasing national exports.”
Chairman of the Board of Directors and Acting Executive Director of Indonesia Eximbank, Sukatmo Padmosukarso, added, “Indonesia Eximbank is committed to supporting SMEs to dare to go global and penetrate international markets through financing, guarantees, insurance, and consulting. This Memorandum of Understanding is a tangible form of collaboration to create an inclusive and sustainable export ecosystem.”
Indonesia Eximbank has recorded positive achievements through various collaborations that support the Ministry of Industry. Among them are the development of four Ministry of Industry Centers in the Devisa Village program, including Sago, Meranti Islands Coffee (Riau), Maros Palm Sugar, and Candlenut (NTB), as well as the implementation of export training through the Coaching Program for New Exporters (CPNE).
In addition, Indonesia Eximbank has followed up with 47 SMEs spread across 13 provinces to participate in export training, and 8 of them have obtained financing facilities from Indonesia Eximbank.
Cross-institutional synergy has had a real impact on improving the competence and capacity of SMEs to penetrate the global market. We believe that this success is the result of hard work and shared commitment. Such collaboration not only strengthens the national industrial structure but also opens opportunities for SMEs to upgrade.
Through this synergy, the Ministry of Industry and Indonesia Eximbank are optimistic about creating new opportunities for SMEs to grow and contribute more significantly to national exports. This collaboration is expected to serve as a catalyst for the creation of Indonesian products that can compete in the global market, while also strengthening Indonesia's position in the international value chain.
